Calstone University was originally the Jewelry Arts and Design College, founded in 2001, with the purpose of training individuals to become master jewelers and designers of jewelry. Our founder, Gerald Park, after more than 30 years experience as a Master Jeweler understood there was a dire need for an institution of higher learning to train future jewelers and designers. The College thrived, receiving numerous commendations and recognition by the California Senate, the State Legislature, the Governor's Office, the State Assembly and other civic and government agencies.
It was a natural progression from the design and creation of jewelry into the related areas of fashion and graphic design. It also became apparent that there was a pressing need for students of these interrelated disciplines to become proficient in the business aspects of the fashion, graphic design and jewelry industries. It was at this juncture that Calstone University was born. Offering degrees in Jewelry Manufacture and Design, Fashion, Graphic Design and Business, Calstone University is positioned to become the preeminent provider of instruction in our chosen industries.
